Partner terms for local operators

What we check before you sell, what we charge, and exactly when the money reaches your bank account.

Last updated August 31, 2026

1. Verification before selling

  • We verify your business before any product goes live: company registration, VAT or tax code, registered address, authorised representative ID, public liability insurance, any required guide or activity licence, and proof of the payout bank account.
  • Documents are stored privately, visible only to your team and our reviewers, and never published.
  • Account approval and product approval are separate. An approved account cannot publish an unreviewed product.
  • Expired insurance or licence evidence pauses your live products until replacement documents are approved.

2. Product content and quality

  • Every product goes through review: draft → in review → changes required or approved → live. We may request changes before approval and you can resubmit.
  • Content must be accurate and yours to use: real photos of your experience, honest durations, correct meeting points, correct inclusions and exclusions.
  • Claims must be true. Timed-entry products must be described as reserved timed entry or priority access — mandatory security screening can never be skipped.
  • Availability, capacity and cut-offs must reflect what you can actually deliver.

3. Commission and pricing

  • Xplore Mondo's commission is 15–20% of the gross booking value, set in your partner agreement. 20% is the standard rate for new Rome partners.
  • You set the retail price. We display it in euro including VAT and do not add a traveller booking fee.
  • Rate parity is not required, but material undercutting of your published price may trigger a review.

4. Payouts

  • A payout ledger entry is created at checkout, but it is not yet payable.
  • A payout becomes eligible only after the experience date has passed in the local timezone of the activity and no cancellation, refund or chargeback is outstanding.
  • Eligible payouts are batched and paid weekly to your verified bank account, with a downloadable statement.
  • Refunds, chargebacks and agreed adjustments are netted against current or future payouts and shown line by line in Finance.

5. Booking operations

  • Confirm on-request bookings within 24 hours; repeated non-response removes instant-confirmation eligibility.
  • Honour every confirmed booking. If you must cancel, do it in the hub so the traveller is refunded automatically.
  • Never take extra payment or card details from a traveller on the day.
  • Respond to traveller messages and complaints within 5 business days.

6. Data protection

You receive traveller data solely to deliver the booked experience and act as an independent controller for it. You must not use it for marketing, must keep it secure, and must delete it when it is no longer needed.

7. Suspension and termination

We may pause products or suspend an account for safety concerns, repeated cancellations, expired documentation, misleading content, or unresolved traveller complaints. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a route to fix it.

Either side may end the agreement with 30 days' notice. Bookings already confirmed must still be delivered and are paid out normally.

Day-to-day operational answers live in the partner FAQ.
